Managed internet connectivity

Internet connection options matched to your business location and needs

In a connected world your business needs to connect to the cloud to use cloud services and to communicate with customers and suppliers. Where your business is located can limit how you connect to the internet. We can advise, provision and manage internet connections, choosing from a range of options.

Leased line

Highly reliable, fast internet connectivity for businesses that need to stay online.

Key features...

99% availability backed by SLA

Same upload and download speeds

High speed fibre to local exchange

Dedicated line so no contention

Speeds up to 10GB in some areas

Wireless leased line

Where fibre based leased lines are not an option, or faster deployment is required, then a wireless leased line may be an option. Costs can be a little more than fibre solutions and suitability will be dependent on your building having line of sight to the wireless mast.

Key features...

99% availability backed by SLA

Same download and upload speeds

High speed fibre to local exchange

Dedicated line means no contention

Speeds up to 1GB in some areas

Fibre To The Premises (FTTP)

Where available, FTTP connections provide a reliable, fast internet connection at a very affordable price.  These lines are not backed by any Service Level Agreement and use fibre to connect the customers premises directly to the exchange, doing away with copper wire altogether.  With speeds up to 1GB and the absence of copper, FTTP makes high speed internet very affordable.

Key features...

Not as widely available as FTTC

Faster download than upload speeds

Some contention due to shared line

No availability guarantees - no SLA

Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC)

FTTC (otherwise known as VDSL2) is a connectivity solution that is based on a combination of fibre optic cable and BTs existing copper infrastructure.  Lines are not backed by any Service Level Agreement and speeds can reach up to 100MB but this drops the further you are away from your cabinet.

Key features...

More widely available than FTTP

Faster download than upload speeds

Contention due to sharing bandwidth

No guarantee of uptime - no SLA

ADSL Broadband

ADSL (more commonly known as broadband) is the entry level product in the broadband market.  The service is ran entirely over BTs existing copper infrastructure and as such is the slowest offering available to business today with speeds up to 21MB.

Key features...

Widely available

Faster download than upload speeds

Contention due to shared bandwidth

No guarantee of uptime - no SLA
