Microsoft Partner for Expert IT Support, based in Chester, supporting business across the North West, North Wales and the UK

As a well-respected and highly accredited IT company based in Chester and the North West we get asked many questions in relation to our IT support Chester services.

Below you’ll find a sample – but please feel free to contact us if you have any more.

I see you’re based in Chester, can you still give my business IT Support?

Absolutely! Our head office is in Chester but we support many companies across the North West and North Wales, and further afield across the UK from Aberdeen to Portsmouth, with several sites in Europe and Dubai.

Over 90% of our support requests are dealt with over the phone or via remote access by Microsoft certified engineers. Also by utilising our Premier and Premier Plus support packages we take a pro-active approach to your IT systems by monitoring them remotely.  This means we can often intercept issues before you’re even aware of them.

Our IT support Chester services are second to none!

I have an existing IT support company - why would I move to you?

Simple, we believe we are the best IT support company in Chester, North Wales and the North West.

Did you know we are one of the most qualified Microsoft Partners in the region?

Here are a few questions you can ask yourself in respect of the service you get from your existing support company…

  1. Are you happy with the service you currently receive from you existing IT Support Company?
  2. Does your existing IT provider offer Service Level Agreements?
  3. Do you know what is included in your existing IT support contract?
  4. Does your existing provider offer “fixed price” support contracts?  If so is it all encompassing?
  5. Do you have a lot of recurring IT issues?
  6. Is your IT generally more or less reliable that it was 12 months ago?
  7. Do you know how your backup system works?
  8. Do you get confirmation that your existing backups are working?  And do you get daily confirmation?
  9. Could your business survive an issue where your network was down for one day? Two days?  Longer?

Why do I actually need IT support for my business?

If you’re asking that question then it appears you may be one of the lucky few who haven’t experienced a major IT failure within your business.

IT is a critical component in any modern business, we rely on it heavily every day, and often we don’t appreciate what it does for us… until it goes wrong!

Having Pro-Networks in your team guarantees that any issues will be dealt with quickly and efficiently, minimising the impact on your business.

Having many Gold and Silver Microsoft Partner accreditations demonstrates our commitment to excellence, and gives you peace of mind that we really are at the top of our game.

Have at look at our support service plans.

We have a member of staff who helps us with our IT, could you work with them?

Yes of course. We can complement an existing IT person or team, and give you the extra resource as and when you need it.  You are in control and can choose to use us like a ‘virtual IT department’ or use us on an ad-hoc basis.  Either way you’ll be getting a professional and friendly service you can rely on.

I’m always nervous about whether I’m buying the right IT equipment for my business, can you help?

IT is our business – we live and breathe it on a daily basis, and we constantly have our finger on the pulse of development.  We can not only help you choose the correct equipment for your business, but we can often source it cheaper than you’ll find anywhere else.  This is because we have partnered with some of the biggest names in the IT industry, such as Dell, Microsoft and SonicWall, to give our customers the best value for money. Give us a call to discuss your needs.

I have issues with my internet connection for my business – is this something you can help with?

Certainly – we provide a wide range of connectivity options for your business, from standard ADSL and FTTC (BT Infinity) right through to dedicated SLA backed leased lines for businesses that need to stay online. All the services we provide are fast and reliable as we appreciate the reliance a modern business has on connectivity to the outside world. If you’re unsure of what type of connection you need please have a look at our connectivity guide – or give us a call.

All I hear about these days is 'the Cloud this and the Cloud that' - what is it and what can it do for me?

‘The Cloud’ is a generic term which refers to services, data storage or computer programs which run through the internet as opposed to your local PC. In our increasingly connected world it has a number of advantages such as:-

  • Protection of data in the event of ‘losing’ the local machine.
  • Computing resources are provided outside of your computer, so you may not need a lot of expensive local computing power.
  • You can often work from any machine in any location as you are connecting to an account on the internet.

We provide a number of cloud based services such as:-

  • Offsite backups
  • Backup MX and SMTP Relay Email services
  • Hosted Email and anti-spam
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Hosted Desktop Solution

Our IT support services will cover all your Cloud/online requirements.

Case Study – Kayes Jewellers

10 years ago Tony Kaye banged his head while climbing from under his desk to answer the phone while fixing another IT issue.

The caller suggested Tony called Pro-Networks who look after their IT, and on 10th April 2014 Geoff Coote and Tony Kaye shook hands on another year of support.

Now entering the 10th year, both Kayes Jewellers and Pro-Networks enjoy a mutually beneficial, honest relationship and Tony had no hesitation in agreeing another year for support.  Tony said:

Pro-Networks always give me straightforward advice and I never feel I am being ‘sold’ by them.  They understand the needs of my business and work with me to achieve my goals while keeping one eye on my budgets.

Geoff Coote remembers the first support call he did with Kayes back in September 2004 –

The Office PC was full of Malware and we needed to roll out Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. So chatting to Tony about the next year’s IT support and planning the direction of the next two to three years IT was a good way for us both to spend the early part of our morning.

Tony says

We were recommended to Pro-Networks by a business customer and I would have no hesitation in recommending them on to anyone – they are a great company to work with.
