New pricing for Microsoft 365
Published 24 Aug 2021

Microsoft has announced price increases for its Microsoft 365 and Office 365 subscriptions, effective globally on 01/03/22

Since launching Microsoft 365 a significant number of applications have been added to the platform including Microsoft Teams, Powe Apps, Power BI, Stream, Planner, Visio, OneDrive, Yammer and Whiteboard.

The price increases do not currently apply to education and consumer products at this time and Microsoft claim this to be the first substantive pricing update since Office 365 launched over a decade ago.

The published prices so far (as at 24/08/21) are in US dollars and are :-

  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic (20% increase - from $5 to $6)
  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium (10% increase - from $20 to $22)
  • Office 365 E1 (25% increase - from $8 to $10)
  • Office 365 E3 (15% increase - from $20 to $23)
  • Office 365 E5 (9% increase - from $35 to $38)
  • Microsoft 365 E3 (13% increase - from $32 to $36)

The pricing takes effect from 1st March 2022 and will be applied globally with local market adjustments for certain regions.

Pro-Networks will communicate UK pricing to all customers as soon as this is available.
